Araçatuba, Brazil. Fr. Argemiro de Azevedo, CMF, appointed Bishop of Assis, received his Episcopal Ordination last February 25, at the Dr. Plácido da Rocha Sports Gymnasium, Araçatuba, Brazil.

There were 16 Archbishops and Bishops of various dioceses in Brazil, as well as numerous priests, deacons, religious men and women, seminarians and the People of God.

Father Argemiro was born on December 3, 1952 in Fernandópolis (SP), diocese of Araçatuba. He professed in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Claretian Missionaries) on February 9, 1975 in the novitiate of Campinas, and professed perpetually in Curitiba on December 12, 1978. He was ordained priest in Rio de Janeiro on the 2nd of July 1980. And was appointed by the Holy Father as the new Bishop of Assis last December 14, 2016.
