Gazing the Future – Srilankan Formators Meet

Claretian Formators meetFebruary 4-7, 2012
The Claretian mission in Srilanka has opened a new chapter in its history when it became a dependent delegation of the German province on 2nd February 2012. It is significant that the first event held in the new delegation was the meeting of all the missionaries working in the all the formation houses in the country, though there are no novices in the current year. There were seven participants. It was an enriching moment of sharing the common vision of claretian formation based on the chapter resolutions. The encounter also discussed the delegation’s new formation plan. In the encounter some practical aspects like discernment, integral vision of the person and formative interventions were dealt with.  Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, General prefect of formation, animated the encounter. Fr. Stefan Wolfgang, the provincial of Germany, too shared his hopes and expectations with the group. In Srilanka there are 27 prenovices and 16 professed claretians in initial formation.
